Onyx Ring started with a frustration.

The wearables industry quietly built a rental model on top of your body. You buy the ring for $400–700. Then you pay another $80–150 a year to actually read what it learns about you. Forever. Most people don't realise until year two — when the renewal hits and the ring becomes a paperweight if you cancel.

That's not a deal. That's a trap with a charging cable.

So we built Onyx differently. A $99 ring you own outright. No subscription, no premium tier, no paywalled features. The app is free. The data is yours. Forever.

The hardware is the real deal — 304 stainless steel, 5 ATM waterproof, seven-day battery, continuous tracking of heart rate, HRV, sleep, blood oxygen and body temperature. It does what a $500 ring does. It just doesn't charge rent.

Onyx Ring is Australian-owned and operated, based on the Gold Coast, QLD. Customer service runs from here. Warranty support runs from here. The rings ship from our manufacturing partner overseas (same as nearly all consumer electronics) — which is how we keep the upfront price honest.
